A bloom is the reproductive structure found in flowering plants (plants of the division Magnoliophyta, also called angiosperms). The biological function of a bloom is to mediate the union of sperm with female ovum in order to produce seeds. The process begins with pollination, is followed by fertilization, leading to the formation and dispersal of the seeds. For the higher plants, seeds are the next generation, and serve as the primary means by which individuals of a species are dispersed across the landscape.
In fact, bloom given for no reason other than "I was thinking of you today" mean much more because they are unexpected.
Your wife or sweetheart will love to receive a surprise gift of flower. So will your mother, daughter, sister, and friends.
And, remember, most women appreciate a wonderful assortment of farm fresh blossom, as well as roses.
Get more bloom for the buck - the prices of some blooms vary seasonally. Roses, for e.g, are usually a great value during summer months. In the winter, mixed bouquets may be a better way to go.
